When Classes Are In Session, the Student Success Center is open from 8:30AM to 7PM, Monday through Thursday, and 8:30AM to 6PM on Fridays.

When Classes Are Not In Session, the Student Success Center is open from 8:30AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday.

Advisors Appointments and Walk-Ins

Current students can make appointments with advisors using their GradesFirst accounts (udccc.gradesfirst.com).  If you do not have a GradesFirst account or cannot access yours, please email cc@udc.edu with your student ID number.

Current students are also welcome to walk in and be placed on the waitlist to see an advisor.

Prospective students are encouraged to visit to UDC website (www.udc.edu) or contact the Office of Admissions (www.udc.edu/admit or 202.274.6110) before seeing an advisor.

New Student Orientation Sessions

After being admitted, students must attend a New Student Orientation session before registering for classes. Refer to the Orientation page for more information and to register for an orientation session.

Please note that there is no orientation prior to summer classes . Students beginning in the summer should attend an orientation over the summer before fall classes begin.

Tutoring

Tutoring services are available in numerous subjects through the Academic Center for Excellent Students (ACES)


Advising

 

What should students expect during an advising appointment?

1. Meet one-on-one with an Student Success Specialist.
2. Discuss educational and career goals.
3. Select courses for the following semester.

What should students bring to an advising appointment?

1. Bring a photo ID.
2. Bring a copy of your academic advising sheet or unofficial college transcripts.
3. Be prepared to discuss any questions that you have about your educational career.

Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment!!
