Strategic Planning Process – 2022
7/13/22 – Letter from President Ronald Mason, Jr.
Dear Firebird Nation,
I am pleased to formally launch the UDC strategic planning process. Much work has already gone into this effort’s “planning to plan” phase. This includes the town hall in May introducing the campus community to LINK Strategic Partners. They will be lending their technical expertise to the planning process, facilitating many of our meetings, and ultimately drafting the update to The Equity Imperative that will be reviewed and approved by the Board of Trustees later this year. The planning-to-plan preparation also included convening a “Brain Trust,” which encompassed representative leadership from various stakeholder groups, including the Board of Trustees, our collective bargaining units and faculty, staff, students, executive cabinet and other constituents from across the institution. The Brain Trust report can be found here.

Dear Firebird community,
This summer, UDC launched a comprehensive strategic planning effort that will ultimately build upon The Equity Imperative. This iterative process will include multiple opportunities for involvement, and we encourage you to stay updated along the way.
Today, we launched a brief survey and would like your feedback on several areas, including The Equity Imperative, opportunities, challenges and goals for the University. This survey should take roughly eight to ten minutes to complete. The feedback collected will inform our next steps and help shape UDC’s future.
Please click the survey link here: https://udc.iad1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4Hm3ur8vBj3NqzY
We thank you for your participation. There will be additional opportunities to learn more about and contribute to the strategic planning process, including on-campus events, focus groups with various stakeholders and more.
Thank you for your time and engagement. Together, we will move UDC forward!
