Last year, UDC’s Community College was selected as a sub-awardee participant on a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to develop a curriculum at the 2-year degree level in quantum information systems (QIS), which is one of the Industries of Tomorrow and a priority for the Biden Administration. This effort is led by Dr. Marilyn Hamilton and will position UDC as one of the first community colleges to develop and offer future QIS courses. QIS skills are growing in demand by employers, and this NSF-funded effort places UDC into the national discussion of creating a domestic, diverse STEM-based workforce for the Nation.

You can learn more about the National Quantum Literacy Network and hear Dean Hamilton comment on UDC’s contribution in this NSF-produced video – see the below link.
