SBPA Hosted a Very Successful

2017 AIB -SE Annual Conference: Navigating (Anti) Globalism

The Academy of International Business – South East region (AIB-SE) http://www.aibse.org/ had its Annual Conference in Washington, DC on October 26 – 28. The mission of the AIB-SE is to foster education and to advance professional standards in the field of international business.  The membership of the academy includes university professors and practitioners, as well as graduate students from many countries around the world.

The University of the District of Columbia – School of Business and Public Administration (UDC – SBPA) hosted the 2017 conference at the UDC campus.  The conference served as a medium for sharing and presenting scholarly research, workshops and seminars, panel presentations and discussions, and experiential learning experiences such as X-Culture.  More than 200 participants from 55 or more countries attended the conference.

The Distinguished Colloquium Speakers, as well as Panel of experts, shared their vision and insights for Washington, DC and beyond.  They shared a wealth of invaluable knowledge and experience to the conference.

UDC and the SBPA are at a crossroads to become a regional as well as national premier university and program, representing Washington, DC as its only public institution of higher learning.  It was an honor hosting the 2017 AIB-SE conference on the UDC campus.  The conference provided a great opportunity to showcase and elevate the excellence of our University as an advanced system of higher learning. We hope to continue our support and commitment for advancing quality education alongside our new AIB-SE colleagues in the future.
