We ranked #1 among best affordable business schools!

AACSB ACCREDITED

I am delighted to announce that the School of Business and Public Administration (SBPA), at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) has earned the coveted AACSB International accreditation.  This is a marquee accreditation and a tribute to and acknowledgement of the quality of our program.  The SBPA is now among the elite business schools in the world. Less than 6% of all business schools in the world have AACSB accreditation. All of us, the faculty, staff, alumni, students, colleagues and stakeholders will treasure and cherish this remarkable achievement for ever.

During the past few years, we have made extraordinary progress in transforming the School of Business into a top-notch business school, and the AACSB accreditation is a testimonial of who we are and what we have achieved.  Our strategic vision and core values are fundamentally solid and establish a firm foundation that tell a good and sound story.

The AACSB accreditation confirms our commitment to SBPA’s Core Mission Values of Leadership Skills, Professionalism, Business Expertise, and Strategic Mindset.  It verifies that our students are indeed receiving a high-quality business education that is market relevant.  The AACSB accreditation would also help to raise the profile and the status of the university as well.  Not only would the SBPA benefit from being AACSB accredited, but the whole UDC reputation as a whole would be elevated.  “A rising tide floats all boats.”

It has been a constructive journey and an amazing experience for the School to navigate the AACSB accreditation passage, and to fulfill and meet or exceed all the required standards and expected criteria.  Earning the accreditation is a compelling validation of the School’s remarkable achievements and its outstanding accomplishments.  In my role, as the Dean, mentor, colleague, and friend, I could not have been more proud, gratified, and honored to witness the level of the enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment of all faculty and staff to help with the AACSB accreditation.

The work toward AACSB accreditation has transformed the SBPA into a top-quality program that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with comparable schools with an advantageous competitive positioning in the nation’s capital and the world over.  With this accreditation, the SBPA will play a prominent role in the future growth and status of the university.  We are so proud to be ranked among the elite business schools and to elevate the SBPA into a higher orbit of academic and learning excellence.
