Conference participants 2021 4TH UDC ANNUAL BUSINESS RESEARCH CONFERENCE (HYFLEX MODE) THURSDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2021NSF Funded Logistics and International Trade (LIT) Analytics Center organized the 2021 4th Annual Business Research Conference along with the UDC School of Business and Public Administration (supported by the National Science Foundation (Grant #1912070)) on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 10 am until 1 pm. The conference was held in HyFlex Mode (whereby 16 participants attended Face-to-Face in the Multipurpose Room 6235, 6th Floor, Building 4250; and 56 participants joined online through WebEx). The theme of the conference was Global Business Environment: Risk, Resilience, and Recovery (3Rs) during the COVID-19 Global Pandemic. There were 23 undergraduate research submissions along with 13 graduate research submissions. The conference co-chairs were Dr. Alex Tan and Dr. Amit Arora (both professors are faculty members working on the grant as well as the LIT Analytics center). Dr. Anshu Arora, Director of NSF-LIT Center and Associate Professor of Marketing at UDC’s School of Business and Public Administration (SBPA) and Dr. Amit Arora, Associate Professor of Supply Cain Management at UDC-SBPA served as faculty research mentors. Dr. Sujata Bardhan (Health Scientist Administrator in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Branch at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD) was the keynote speaker. The judges for the event from industry and academia were: Dr. Victor McCrary, Vice President for Research and Graduate Programs, UDC; Dr. John McIntyre, Director – Georgia Tech Center for International Business Education & Research, Atlanta, GA; Dr. Anne Marie Zwerg, Professor and Director of Master of International Management Program at Universidad de La Sabana, Chía, Colombia, Dr. Julius Anyu, Professor of Management and Public Administration at UDC-SBPA, Dr. Ravi Chinta, Associate Dean at UDC-SBPA, Dr. Malva Reid, Assistant Chief Academic Officer for Graduate and Online Education and Academic Partnerships at UDC, and Dr. Racquel Brown-Gaston, Associate Professor of Law and Business Ethics at UDC-SBPA.
