Today, many firms are realizing the need for a more strategic and international focus and the LIT concentration is an excellent way to accomplish this!  Firms are looking for qualified students with the right business understanding, especially in logistics and international trade, therefore the demand for this major continues to increase.

What is FinTech-CleanTech?

This is an awarded National Science Foundation (NSF) Grant. It is a catalyst project that supports Historically Black Colleges and University’s work towards establishing the research capacity of faculty to strengthen science, technology, engineering and mathematics undergraduate education and research.

The overarching goal of the STEM-Business Focused Sustainable FinTech-CleanTech project at the UDC is to introduce and provide Business and Engineering undergraduate students at UDC with an innovative and interdisciplinary “Sustainable FinTech-CleanTech” certificate program available to both Business as well as Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) majors. Other specific objectives of the project are:

  • to develop an innovative and interdisciplinary Sustainable FinTech-CleanTech certificate program and strengthen STEM-Business education and research partnerships at UDC,
  • to enrich and enhance undergraduate student and faculty research capacity, and
  • to collaborate with broader DC community including government, industry and institutions and DC Public schools.
