Research Interests: Computational Fluid Dynamics and Computational Structural Dynamics (CFD/CSD) method in the study of forced response and flutter of a turbomachinery row in the time domain. The use of CFD/CSD method to understand the basic mechanisms of flutter and forced response, and to develop simplified engineering models, or design guidelines. Exploration of unsteady and rotating flows phenomenon to advance fundamental understanding of complex time-dependent flows, their interactions and control, using theoretical and numerical analysis techniques to develop physically based predictive models and innovative concepts, including algorithm to characterize, predict, and control flow instabilities and fluid-structure interactions in bounded and free-shear flows, including vortical flows and flows in turbomachinery.

Career in Brief: Ph.D., Aeronautical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 1978.

Senior Instructor, Nigeria Defense Academy, Ministry of Defense, Lagos, Nigeria, 1978 – 1982 ; UDC: Assistant Professor, 1982-985; Associate Professor, Associate Professor, 1985-04; Professor, 2004-present.
