Debra Robinson-Foster is an Accounting Instructor in the School of Business and Public Administration (SBPA) at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC). Prior to joining UDC, she was an auditor in the public accounting firm of KPMG and later held leadership roles in the business sector to include CFO, Controller, and Accounting and Tax Consultant. Debra has 20+ years of experience in public and financial accounting, and management of government and private foundation grants totaling $20 million annually.

Her main teaching areas are Financial and Managerial accounting, Accounting Information Systems and Accounting Tax Practicum. Debra is the Site Coordinator for the UDC SBPA Internal Revenue Service VITA/TCE (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and Tax Counseling for the Elderly) Programs and for 10+ years, her team under her guidance prepared more than 400 federal and state tax returns every tax season for the DMV community. Debra holds a current CPA Licenses and has an MBA in Accounting and is active in her State CPA Association. Debra also serves as the faculty advisor for the UDC Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA).

Debra enjoys traveling, doing mission work abroad, and giving back to her community by helping small businesses keep their financial records and taxes in compliance with GAAP thus establishing best accounting practices.
