11th Annual Conference of the Mindfulness in Education Network (MiEN)

Over 120 educators, counselors, and social workers attended the 11th Annual Conference of the Mindfulness in Education Network (MiEN). Under the theme Encouraging Compassion, Understanding and Resilience, conference presenters shared the various ways in which mindfulness is being used in the K-12 and higher education environment to promote well-being, learning, and social connection. Among the speakers were: Ali and Atman Smith, Founders of the Holistic Life Foundation; Dr. Micheal Yellow Bird of North Dakota State University; Linda Lantieri, Center for Academic, Social-Emotional Learning (CASEL); Dr. Marisela Gomez; and Morris H.
