Welcome our new Vice President of Information Technology

 

Suresh Murugan, Vice President of Information Technology, began working at UDC on July 16, 2021. Suresh comes to us from Elizabeth City State University, where he served as the Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer. He brings over 20 years of experience in delivering information technology solutions within educational and financial institutions. He has successfully led transformational change initiatives while maximizing operational efficiency, prioritizing data-informed decision-making, and building upon best practices. In his current role, Suresh oversees the Office of Information Technology and leads all IT strategies and plans, policies and procedures, projects, schedules, cybersecurity initiatives, and technical support services. He maintains oversight of the University’s information technology, network architecture and communications, operation systems, computer services, and management information systems.
