The University’s Royal Court and members of the Beta Kappa Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc., Beta Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. and Beta Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho, Inc., attended the HBCU Experience educational event at the National Children’s Research Center on Saturday, April 29. The UDC Fire Dolls also performed at the event.
Beta Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. advisor wins ‘Advisor of the Year’
Krystal Seabron received the Northeastern Region Undergraduate Chapter Advisor of the Year Award on April 1. The award recognizes a soror who provides outstanding service to an undergraduate chapter in the Northeastern Region. Seabron is a UDC alumna (‘20) who joined Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. in the spring of 2018. As the advisor, she has guided and encouraged the Beta Chapter in several initiatives, including collecting donations for Operation Big Book Bag and hosting Women’s Wellness events.
AKA’s Beta Lambda Chapter awarded at North Atlantic Regional Conference
The Beta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., which includes Dejenee Miller, Jada Harrington, Basheerah Abdus-Shakur, Tierra Allen, Jniya Butler and Shavonne Fraley, attended the 92nd North Atlantic Regional Conference (NARC) in Philadelphia in March.
