President Edington Inducted Into Business Honor Society

Earlier this month, Maurice D. Edington, Ph.D., was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, an international business honor society founded in 1913. The honor society is exclusively for AACSB-accredited schools, an achievement bestowed on fewer than 6 percent of the world’s business school programs—including the UDC School of Business and Public Administration.

Last Chance to Provide Feedback on UDC’s New Strategic Plan

Share your thoughts on the university’s new five-year strategic plan, Delivering on the Promise, by April 22. The strategic plan was approved by the UDC Board of Trustees in February and will be implemented at the conclusion of the public notice period. The UDC community can email feedback to udcstrategicplanning@udc.edu.

CBS Sports Anchor Brown Shares Insights With Digital Media Students

Emmy-winning CBS News Sports Anchor James Brown stopped by UDC March 19 to share highlights from his professional journey with UDC digital media students. “I didn’t have the news production skills that you all are getting here at UDC,” Brown said. “You’re much further ahead than I was.”

UDC Van Ness Campus Farmers Market Returns for the Season

The UDC Van Ness Campus Farmers Market opens for the season on Saturday, April 27, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., in front of the Student Center. This community staple offers produce, baked goods and other farm fresh products from growers throughout the region. This initiative, brought to you by the College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability, and Environmental Sciences, or CAUSES, and the National Latino Farmers & Ranchers Trade Association, runs Saturdays through November 16.
