Calvin Jones BIG BAND Jazz Festival is a huge success
The BIG BAND returned to the UDC Theatre of the Arts at the Van Ness Campus on Monday, April 24. The powerhouse jazz ensembles from UDC (dir. Allyn Johnson), Howard University (dir. April is Jazz Appreciation Month and the perfect opportunity to celebrate one of America’s most iconic art forms. In this issue, we spotlight UDC’s dynamic Music Program, whose graduates perform, entertain, and teach at every level with degree offerings in music education, music performance, jazz studies and gospel studies.
