A Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated member donates blood at the National Pan-Hellenic Council of Washington, DC and UDC blood drive on February 25 at the Van Ness Campus. The event was co-sponsored by the American Red Cross.

As part of their DC college tour trip, the Prymus Angels All-Stars from Miami, Florida, visited the Van Ness Campus on Monday, January 30. NeKesha A. Prymus started the nonprofit athletic college-bound program for youth over 20 years ago to inspire students to “go further.”

The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) hosted its winter 2023 CAS Reads Big event on January 24 at the Van Ness Campus and featured scientist and science communication practitioner Dr. Faith Kearns. Kearns discussed her newest book, “Getting to the Heart of Science Communication: A Guide to Effective Engagement,” at the hybrid event.

Homecoming 2022: UDC’s Alumni Golden Jubilee Celebration was held on Sunday, November 6, and honored the classes of ’70, ’71 & ’72. This special evening honored the 50th graduation anniversary of the remarkable graduates of each legacy institution: DC Teachers College, Federal City College and Washington Technical Institute. Alumni danced to music provided by The Rise Band and Show, an upbeat party band from the District.
