UDC students Hnin Swe (junior accounting major) and JoVan Williams-Bey (junior human development major) attended an International Women’s Day symposium on women’s leadership roles in tech and investment with Parliament51. This social impact venture promotes equal opportunities for women in the workforce. The event was sponsored by the Library of Congress Science, Technology and Business Division and held at the Library of Congress on Wednesday, March 8, and focused on the current state of investments in technology, increasing the percentage of women in leadership positions, and how to incorporate diverse thinking when solving for today’s problems through technology.
