After a three-year hiatus, the free Around the World Embassy Tour is back this Saturday, May 7, with more than 30 embassies opening their gates. More than 175 volunteers are preparing to help greet guests at information booths at Dupont Circle (west side), the Van Ness-UDC Metro Station and Flower Mart at the National Cathedral as well as at the embassies. UDC will host at least three embassies—Uganda, Gambia and Libya—exhibiting for the first time on Dennard Plaza where International Drive meets Van Ness Street NW from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Parking in the UDC garage will be free until 5 p.m.

Cultural Tourism D.C. has presented the Around the World Embassy Tour since 2008. Participants can travel the world as they experience the food, art, dance, fashion and music of different countries. In the past, visitors have been treated to karate demonstrations, dance performances, sari wrapping lessons and more.
