Scholars vie for $75,000 top prize in Honda Campus All-Star Challenge quarter-finals

UDC team will play in the Honda Campus All-Star Challenge (HCASC) National Championship Tournament’s Elite 8 playoffs on April 10 through 12.

Dmario Asquitt, a senior majoring in computer science from Port Antonio, Jamaica; Bailey Garfield, a junior majoring in electrical engineering and math from Salem, OR; Breanna M. Champion, a senior majoring in psychology from Chicago, IL and Spencer Reynolds, a senior majoring in English from Lacrosse, TN are representing UDC. Andreas Levar Smith is the team coach.

All games will be broadcast on the HCASC YouTube channel. The quarter-final schedule for Sunday, April 10 is:

Game 1 – Oakwood vs. Dillard – 6 p.m.
Game 2 – University of District of Columbia vs. Kentucky State – 6:30 p.m.
Game 3 – Tuskegee vs. Alabama A&M – 7 p.m.
Game 4 – Spelman vs. Morehouse – 7:30 p.m.

All timings listed are in Eastern Time.

The winners of these games will move to Round 4, which will air on Monday, April 11. The best 2-out-of-3 finals will air on Tuesday, April 12.
