Today, in recognition of Education Week in Washington, DC, UDC President Ron Mason was joined by Mayor Muriel Bowser to launch the UDC Workforce Edge (UDC-WE) partnership, a program that will support adult learners who want to get a high school diploma or a GED. UDC – CC scholars career day tour at the Marriot
UDC-CC scholars had the opportunity to meet & greet with Marriott professionals during a recent career day tour. Scholars were first greeted by the Marriott Grand Marquis General Dan Nadeau. Marriott also held an industry panel session, shared hiring information and gave us a career exploration tour of the Grand Marquis here in Washington, DC. FBI Career Day
Criminology major scholars had the opportunity to learn more about the Federal Bureau of Investigation hiring requirements, gain industry knowledge, discuss internship openings and even network with a FBI Recruiter after the session. Please check out these photos! FBI Career Day
OPM Session at CC Career Services
UDC-CC scholars had the opportunity to participate in one-day Federal Government Seminar which covered USAJOBS profile building, government resume’ writing , interviewing strategies and an Office of Personnel industry panel session. Public Defender Service Employer Info Session
Over 40 UDC-CC scholars attended the Public Defender Service employer info session in February. Scholars were given the opportunity to discuss internship and employment opportunities with an representative from the Human Resources Department.
