Albert Cacozza
Albert Cacozza is a retired Partner of Ropes & Gray LLP with deep experience in governance, compliance, risk management and organizational leadership. Over his career, he advised national and global organizations on regulatory, policy, and corporate matters, led complex internal investigations and supervised regulatory due diligence for major transactions. He also developed policies, procedures and training programs to strengthen institutional compliance and accountability.
Within the firm, he served as Co-Chair of the Digital Health Initiative, Co-Chair of the Diversity Committee, and Member of the Corporate Department Associate Training Committee, helping the firm achieve national #1 rankings in diversity and associate training. A strong advocate for access and equity, he was a longtime member of the Pro Bono Committee and received the firm’s Lifetime Achievement Pro Bono Award in 2021. His community involvement includes voter protection efforts in multiple presidential elections, fundraising leadership for City Year Washington, DC, and years of volunteer service in youth education and athletics. He brings a strong commitment to educational excellence, equity and student success.
