
UDC is proud to announce the appointment of Myesha Carter as associate chief academic officer for student experience, effective July 14, 2025. Carter brings a distinguished record of educational leadership, strategic program design and a deep commitment to equity, access and student-centered success.
She joins UDC with over 15 years of experience spanning the higher education and healthcare sectors. She has led multimillion-dollar initiatives, developed nationally recognized student success frameworks and driven institutional change through inclusive, data-informed practices. Her visionary approach integrates academic affairs with student development to create immersive and equitable learning environments for all students, from workforce learners to doctoral candidates.
Carter holds a Doctor of Education in administration and leadership studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science in speech-language pathology from UDC.
In her new role, Carter will serve as the university's academic champion for student experience, leading efforts to design and implement a comprehensive framework for academic success. She will partner with faculty, deans, student development leaders and community stakeholders to create seamless, transformative pathways that support recruitment, retention, progression and career readiness. Her work will elevate teaching and learning excellence, align academic programs with workforce trends and strengthen UDC's commitment to belonging, innovation and student empowerment.
