Freshman Orientation Course (8800:101)

 The Freshman Orientation Curriculum is designed to address study skills, critical thinking, time management, personal development and knowledge of the University of the District of Columbia culture and campus. These are skills necessary for successful matriculation at University of the District of Columbia. Freshman Orientation provides opportunities to discuss important issues like balancing work, family, friends and education; making the transition to college level expectations; and, asking for help when needed. Students will have the chance to familiarize themselves with resources on campus and receive a college credit for the completion of this course. 

Phi Eta Sigma

Phi Eta Sigma is a national honor society rewarding first-year scholarship. This prestigious organization encourages and rewards academic excellence among first-year students in institutions of higher learning.
The oldest and largest first-year honor society, Phi Eta Sigma was founded at the University of Illinois on March 22, 1923. The organization has more than 350 active chapters throughout the United States and more than 950,000 inducted members. For more information CLICK HERE
