Prepare to Lead With the AI and Robotics in Business Concentration

Compete in a Technology-Driven World

The Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in Business concentration at the University of the District of Columbia's School of Business and Public Administration prepares students to lead in a technology-driven world. Launched in 2025, the program blends business strategy with cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, data analytics, and automation. The program equips students with the skills organizations need to innovate, compete, and grow in the digital economy.

Dr. Arora with robotsStudents explore the transformative power of AI through an interdisciplinary curriculum that covers machine learning, neural networks, business intelligence, human-robot interaction and digital transformation. Coursework emphasizes both technical expertise and strategic decision-making, enabling students to solve complex business challenges, uncover insights from data and drive technology-enabled innovation. Hands-on learning with industry-leading tools such as Tableau and Power BI gives students practical experience working with real-world business scenarios.

Position Yourself for a High-Impact Career

Supported by a National Science Foundation Targeted Infusion Project grant, the program reflects UDC's commitment to advancing STEM education and preparing the next generation of business and technology leaders. Led by Professor Amit Arora and supported by faculty across business, engineering and applied sciences, the concentration offers students a unique opportunity to develop in-demand skills at the intersection of artificial intelligence, robotics and business, positioning them for high-impact careers in a rapidly evolving global marketplace.

Potential Career Pathways

The Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in Business Concentration prepares students to complement their major with knowledge and applied experience in artificial intelligence, robotics, analytics, automation and technology-enabled decision-making. Potential career pathways may include AI Business Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, Supply Chain Analyst, Logistics Analyst, Operations Research Analyst, Management Analyst/Consultant, Marketing Analytics Analyst, Digital Transformation Analyst, and Automation or Robotics Business Analyst.

AI and Robotics in Business Curriculum

The AI and Robotics in Business curriculum consists of four courses: two required courses and two electives. All students complete AI & Robotics in Business and AI-Enabled Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management, then choose two electives from topics such as marketing research, management information systems, leadership, organizational behavior, or a STEM-focused study abroad experience.

Students may also pursue the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (AIR) Concentration, which requires the same structure: two required AIR courses and two AIR-focused electives. The concentration provides additional focus on the application of artificial intelligence and robotics to business operations, technology management, leadership, and innovation.
