A team of five UDC scholars was among several teams that competed in California in the Honda Campus All-Star Challenge (HCASC) National Championship Tournament from April 16-17. The HCASC is an academic competition between students at America’s HBCUs. Due to the students’ wins in preliminary rounds, they advanced as one of eight teams—the “Great 8″—to the quarterfinals slated to be streamed on April 20 at 6:00 p.m. EST. The semifinals and championship series will be streamed on April 21, where teams will vie for a $75,000 institutional grant for the top prize from Honda.
