The University of the District of Columbia (UDC) is proud to announce a transformative $4.3 million in-kind gift from global technology leader Cisco. This investment empowers UDC to accelerate its digital transformation, strengthen cybersecurity and expand research and learning opportunities for students and faculty.

Through Cisco’s support, UDC will benefit from:
- Comprehensive Cybersecurity Enhancements: Campus-wide upgrades to protect UDC’s network and safeguard sensitive student and research data, aligning with federal compliance requirements.
- Cloud and Network Modernization: Implementation of Cisco’s advanced, cloud-ready infrastructure to increase reliability, reduce operational costs through 2030 and boost efficiency.
- Elevated Research Capabilities: High-security platforms designed to support faculty in securing and managing federally funded and private-sector research projects.
- Expanded Learning Opportunities: Next-generation collaboration and learning tools that will open new pathways for students in cybersecurity, data management and technology-driven fields.
