The University is Closed for the Winter Holidays

In observance of the winter holidays, all University of the District of Columbia administrative and academic offices will be closed from Monday, Dec. 22, 2025, to Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026.

Administrative and academic offices will resume regular operations on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026.

Celebrating 175 Years of Turning Potential Into Power:  The Shoulders Upon Which We Stand

Founders Day at the University of the District of Columbia is a cherished tradition that honors the rich history and enduring legacy of the institution. This annual celebration brings together students, faculty, alumni and the community to commemorate the university's founding and its contributions to education and society.

The Founders Day 2026 Celebration will be held on Thursday, Feb. 19. Check back here for more details as we get closer to the event.
