Update on Facilities Emergency

Following the electrical incident originating in Building 42, significant progress has been made in assessing the affected facilities. Power is expected to be restored to Buildings 38, 39, 43 and 47 within the next several hours.

Buildings 32 and 42 will remain closed through the end of this week while additional assessments are completed and necessary repairs are implemented.

Academic Operations

  • SEAS will remain on Emergency Remote Instruction (ERI) through the end of the week.
  • Classes for all non-SEAS students will resume normal operations.
  • Classes at the Law School, Community College, Congress Heights and the DCA Aviation Hangar will continue as scheduled.

Administrative Operations

  • Administrative and support functions at the Van Ness campus will resume normal business operations.

SEAS Faculty, Staff and Students

SEAS staff should contact their supervisors regarding remote work expectations. SEAS faculty should coordinate with their supervisors regarding ERI and may contact CAL for instructional technology support, including Blackboard, Zoom and Webex, at [email protected].

Navigating myUDC Instructions

How to Check the Status of Your Financial Aid Application Status or Review Your Award Notification

  1. Go to my.udc.edu
  2. Enter your ID number and PIN (at first, it’s your birthdate in the “mmddyy” format)
  3. Change your PIN then enter a security question
  4. Do not share your password with anyone
  5. From the Main Menu click on “Financial Aid”
  6. From here you can view the following:
    • Financial Aid Status – provides a summary of your estimated aid and SAP status.
    • Eligibility – has four tabs; Student Requirements, Messages, Holds and Academic Progress.If you have not been awarded aid, the tabs on this menu will tell you why.
    • Award – Tabs you will refer to are Award Overview, Terms and Conditions and Accept Award Offer.
  7. Where asked, select the Award Year you wish to view and click Submit
  8. Click Award and go to Terms and Conditions and click “I accept” and Submit. If you have loans, you may need to complete the Master Promissory Note (MPN) and Entrance Counseling.
  9. Then click Accept Award Offer Tab – from the dropdown box select accept or decline each award offer
  10. To view your bill, click on Student Tab, Student Account, and then Account Summary by Term
