Special Message from Christopher D. Bell, Chair of the UDC Board of Trustees

President Mason came to the University at a time when we needed a visionary leader and a consensus builder. He guided the University to new growth, new opportunities and new optimism. Through his leadership and commitment to excellence, President Mason has elevated the University’s reputation, academics and finances, leaving it in a better place.

The Board of Trustees is profoundly grateful and appreciative of President Mason’s transformative vision and strategic guidance over the past eight years. Although he is leaving his role as President of the University, the Board of Trustees is pleased he will remain part of the University community and family, where we will continue to benefit from his guidance and expertise as a member of our academic faculty.

Thank you, President Mason, for all you have done for the University. We are a better system of higher education because of you.
