From L-R: Dr. Kendall Harris, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, Texas Southern University, Angela Stribling, veteran broadcaster, Dr. Anshu Arora, associate professor of marketing at UDC and Kathleen Glaser, vice president for Global IT at Jacobs in Dallas, TX.

Dr. Anshu Arora, associate professor of marketing at the School of Business and Public Administration, and Laura-Lee Davidson, director of Sponsored Programs and Compliance, were awarded the Technology Rising Star Award and Technology All-Star Award, respectively, at the 2022 Women of Color in Technology STEM Conference on October 7. Dr. Arora was recognized for her research in social media, social-educational-ethical robotics, and international marketing and management. Davidson’s recognition is partly due to her dedication to decreasing the disparity in research grant awards for underrepresented groups and between majority and minority institutions.
