Opportunities for High School Students and Teachers

High school students interested in BS degree in STEM fields at CNRE universities are encouraged to contact us. We offer summer internships and provide mentorship for high school students’ projects. Minority students are strongly encouraged to apply. High schools in the Washington DC area and MD-DC-VA regions are welcome to visit UDC and CNRE institutes. Please contact CNRE institutes for tours and hands-on activities in the field of additive manufacturingnanotechnology, and future career advising.

We also offer workshops about next-generation technologies for high school students. Please check our future events. We cordially welcome high school teachers to partner with us to take advantage of several funded opportunities via CNRE for them and their students. We encourage students from the following local schools to connect with us.

  • McKinley Tech (Kenneth Lesley)
  • Wilson Highschool
  • Charter Schools
  • Math Academy

DC high school students can also benefit from Marion Barry-summer funding opportunities to experience unique learning and work opportunities at UDC. These opportunities will be supplemented by CNRE.
