Sung Namkung is Visiting Assistant Professor at the School of Business and Public Administration at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC). His primary teaching areas are strategic management and entrepreneurship. Before joining UDC in 2023, Professor Namkung taught management and organizational courses at Trinity University, as well as Indiana University of Pennsylvania. His research examines why new ventures differ on key strategic choices of the products they make, and the markets they enter in the high-tech industry such as the Lithium-Ion Battery industry.

As a teacher, Dr. Namkung aspires to help students construct a holistic view through the analytic skills that they learn from the classroom, so that they can apply those skills when they become next generation business leaders in their careers.
