Ruonan Liu is an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the School of Business and Public Administration (SBPA) at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC). Before joining UDC in 2023, she held the position of Assistant Professor at the University of the Pacific. She has been teaching a range of accounting courses, including Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, and Federal Income Tax.

Ruonan received a Ph.D. in Accounting from Florida International University in 2014. Her research interests focus on Executive Compensation, Corporate Governance, Earnings Management, and Auditing. She holds a Certified Public Accountant license in the state of Illinois.
