Dr. Ben Peter is a Professor of Management at the University of District of Columbia. He brings over 15 years of business management and executive leadership experience to the university community, but specifically to his students.

He is passionate about teaching and mentoring students in a safe, caring, and stimulating environment that allows students to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, and socially. He believes that every student has unique potential and aspirations, and he strives to help them achieve their academic goals through a challenging but relevant curriculum. He demands excellence and high performance from all his students yet provides flexibility at a level that meets the needs of his students.

Dr. Peter adopts a student-centered approach in his teaching, and he believes that it is important to be adaptive to each student’s learning needs. In his classroom, each student will experience the application of real-world business and management concepts and theories that Dr. Peter teaches and provides with each lesson. Dr. Peter’s students appreciate his feedback so that he can conduct and improve his teaching style every day.

Prior to joining the University of District of Columbia, Dr. Peter was Chief Executive Officer of Upward Biotechnology, a Texas-based biotechnology company; President of PureGen Holding Inc., a Texas-based healthcare and wellness company; Vice President of Business Development at Max International; Regional Representative at AstraZeneca Pharmaceutical; Assistant Professor of Management – Oral Roberts University; Competitive Intelligence and Market Research Manager at Vizient; worked for other companies like UBS Financial Services, Tarrant County Community College, Trevo International, Slabdeck Technology, Soluna Worldwide, Nutrione.
