Lauren A. Sweet, MS, CCC-SLP, earned a BA in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Temple University and an MS in Speech-Language Pathology from Howard University. With over 15 years of experience in medical speech pathology, her expertise spans skilled nursing facilities, home health, and geriatric care, with a particular focus on dementia management and health equity. As a Clinical Instructor, she is passionate about bridging classroom learning with real-world application. She has developed community-based initiatives that provide graduate students with hands-on experience in cognitive rehabilitation, dementia care, and advocacy for underserved populations. Her research interests focus on social determinants of health.
