UDC Opening at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 23

The University of the District of Columbia’s academic and administrative offices will open at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 23. All on-campus activities, including athletic-related activities, will resume regular operations at 10 a.m.

Staff: Contact your immediate supervisor with questions and further instructions.

Faculty: Reach out to your immediate supervisor and/or the dean for questions and further instructions.

Students: Due to inclement weather, the university will be closed to face-to-face operations until 10 a.m. All classes scheduled to take place before 10 a.m. are cancelled.

The safety and security of our students, faculty, staff and the broader community remain our top priority. We will continue to provide updates regarding the status of the university’s academic and administrative offices as conditions change.

CARE - College Access and Readiness for Everyone


The CARE Program is an undergraduate program that allows pre-college DC students to experience success in college by earning college credits, at no cost. Students enrolled in the CARE Program prepare for college by experiencing it firsthand and receive an array of support services to make a smooth transition to college.

Benefits

  • Earn credits toward college graduation
  • Collaborate with college peers and faculty
  • Plan for college and career
  • Access all UDC student resources and CARE Program transition resources (i.e. college advisors, peer tutors, student gathering opportunities)

Eligibility

  • Must be enrolled in a DC public or DC public charter school that partners with the UDC CARE Program
  • Must be enrolled in 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade OR enrolled in a GED program at a participating partner school
  • Homeschooled students are currently not eligible to participate in the CARE program

Students may apply to the UDC CARE Program during the Fall, Spring or Summer semester. Applicants must follow the instructions below.
