
5th Annual Teaching Learning Roundtable Conference
Call for Proposals
We are excited to announce the call for proposals for the 5th Annual Teaching Learning Roundtable Conference, scheduled for April 11, 2025. This year’s theme is ” Inclusive Excellence: Fostering Engagement Through Diverse Perspectives,” and we invite you to submit proposals that explore innovative approaches to teaching and learning that promote inclusivity and engagement. All Educators and Higher Education Professionals are welcome to submit a proposal.
Conference Theme Overview
The theme emphasizes the importance of inclusivity in teaching practices as a means to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. We are seeking proposals that explore how diverse perspectives—cultural, disciplinary, or experiential—can enrich the educational experience and create more collaborative learning environments. This conference aims to showcase strategies that connect inclusive pedagogies to broader goals of equity and access in education, highlighting how diverse voices contribute to deeper understanding and sustained engagement in the learning process.
Proposal Submission Guidelines
Proposals should include:
- Session title not to exceed 10 words
- Session abstract not to exceed 100 words
- Two – four objectives outlining participant outcomes
Data-based, interactive sessions are sought. Sessions that embed case examples and guides for translating practices and findings to different disciplines, course types, and levels of instruction are encouraged. Please submit a PDF file containing the elements delineated above. Presenter name(s), rank, program, and brief bio sketch (not to exceed 75 words) should also be included. We encourage faculty and educators to submit proposals that address, but are not limited to, the following topics:
- Implementing inclusive teaching strategies that engage diverse learners
- The role of cultural, disciplinary, and experiential diversity in student engagement
- Research on the impact of inclusive pedagogies on learning outcomes
- Case studies of successful integration of diverse perspectives in curriculum design
- Strategies for fostering an inclusive classroom environment that encourage collaboration and participation
- Exploring intersectionality and its role in inclusive education

- Deadline for submissions: March 4, 2025

We are accepting proposals in the following formats:
- Presentations (60 minutes)
- Roundtable Discussions (20 minutes)
- Posters (for display during breaks)
All proposals will be panel reviewed and selected presenters will be notified by March 18, 2025.
