Dr. Angela S. Henderson, Assistant Professor of Social Work, played a key role in organizing the UDC Color Purple Event. In collaboration with the Phi Alpha Social Work Student Honor Society, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, and the College of Arts and Sciences faculty, staff, and students, they curated a week of engaging activities. Highlights included The Color Purple Hope and Healing Panel Discussion and The Color Purple Early Movie Screening Event on December 9, 2023. During these events, students shared their insights, expressing emotions and reflections on empowerment and resilience.
