Professor Judith Korey joined seven of her fellow contributors to the new book, DC Jazz: Stories of Jazz Music in Washington, DC, at a book event on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Georgetown University. Hosted by Georgetown’s President, John J. DeGioia, the event featured a conversation with Jason Moran, Distinguished Artist in Residence at Georgetown University, and Maurice Jackson, Associate Professor of History at Georgetown University and coeditor of the book. The talk was moderated by Dr. Dwandalyn Reece, Curator of Music and Performing Arts, Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.

A meet and greet reception and book signing followed the program.
