Troy A LeMaile-Stovall
Chief Operating Officer
Troy A LeMaile-Stovall serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC), where he has responsibilities for facilities, procurement, information technology, human resources, enrollment management and institutional effectiveness. He founded and serves as Managing Member of LeMaile Stovall LLC, a management consulting firm focused on strategy, operational performance and capital stack formation. He has served as Interim President for Zenith Education Group, a $400M+, 56-campus career education system. He was a Principal with Butler Snow Advisory Services, serving higher education clients. He has worked at senior levels in higher education as EVP/COO at Howard University and Sr. VP/CFO at Jackson State University, where he was awarded the Thurgood Marshall HBCU CFO of the Year.
Troy co-founded and served as the first President/CEO of GulfSouth Capital, Ambassador John N. Palmer’s (Skytel founder) multi-million dollar family investment office, served global technology and telecommunications clients as a Sr. Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Co., and held positions at Southwestern Bell Telephone (now AT&T), Bell Labs and Rockwell International.
He is a frequent speaker on topics including venture capital, motivation, economic development and higher education administration. He has authored or contributed to documents on wireless data, entrepreneurship, venture capital, economic development, activity-based costing and higher education. Raised in Houston, TX, Troy is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Regent University. He holds a BS Electrical Engineering degree cum laude from Southern Methodist University (SMU, minor in mathematics), a MS Computer Science degree from Stanford University (Bell Labs One Year on Campus Fellow) and a MBA from Harvard University (1st year honors).
He is married to the former Sonya L Wiggins and they are parents to two competitive swimmers, Zora Lauren and Langston Anthony. Troy has served and is serving on a number of for-profit and non-profit boards including Parkway Properties (NYSE:PKY), Archipalego Learning (NASDAQ:ARCL), National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), SMU School of Engineering, SMU Dept of Electrical Engineering and his church Landover, MD-based Zion Church of Landover, MD, led by Sr Pastor Keith Battle.
