Student Learning Objectives
In order for you and your students to accurately measure and document that they have achieved recommended or targeted learning outcomes, you will develop an ongoing record of your advising interactions together. This record will document advising visits, receipt of educational plans, semester course enrollment, collaborative sessions with referrals on campus, and a variety of other interactions and achievements.
Freshmen Goals
- Access information about campus resources.
- Identify Academic Advisor.
- Obtain information about degree requirements.
- Demonstrate an understanding of registration policies and procedures.
- Keep track of degree mapping from the first day until cleared for graduation.

Sophomore Goals
- Understand degree requirements.
- Work effectively with Academic Advisor to review academic progress.
- Develop attainable academic goals.
- Understand formal academic processes (SAP appeal, probation).
- FLAGSHIP: Understand the Sophomore to Junior advisor transition process.
- COMMUNITY COLLEGE: Understand the transition to the flagship campus and/or graduation process for UDC-CC students.

Junior Goals
- Be on track to graduate on time.
- Start thinking about what comes next after graduation.
- If planning to apply to graduate school, research which college entrance exams are required.
- For career options other than graduate school, plan to attend Career Day activities on campus and in the city.

Senior Goals
- Submit all required paperwork for graduation in a timely manner.
- Before graduation, plan an exit interview with program coordinator.
- In more concrete ways, continue the process of preparing what comes next after graduation.
- If planning to apply to graduate school be sure to meet deadlines for any required entrance exams (for example: GRE, ACT, LST).
