Nobel Laureate Dr. John Mather, NASA Goddard with UDC faculty and Students

Nobel Laureate Dr. John C. Mather delivered a lecture at UDC February 28 as part of the university's recognition of Engineering Week.  Dr. Mather is Sr. Astrophysicist at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD, where he specializes in infrared astronomy and cosmology.  Dr. Mather shared the Nobel Prize in physics in 2006 for his work in cosmic anisotropy (hot and cold spots in background radiation), now believed to be the primordial seeds that led to the structure of the universe.
