Rajeev Bansal serves as the Director of the Office of Institutional Research, Assessment, and Planning (IRAP). In addition to overseeing the daily operations of the office of IRAP, Rajeev also acts as the university project director for the Statewide Longitudinal Educational Data System (SLED). He began his higher education career at Strayer University in 2002 and then worked as Associate Director of Institutional Research and Planning at The George Washington University for almost nine years before moving into his current position at UDC. He has an undergraduate degree in Computer Information Systems and a Master of Business Administration.

Yuanjie Zhang serves as the Research Assessment Analyst for the Office of Institutional Research, Assessment, and Planning. She is a member of the University Assessment Committee and is the lead person for the TK20 administration at the university. She assists with data collection, analysis and development of the reports needed to support accreditation efforts, state and federal agencies, and other stakeholders. Prior to UDC, Ms. Zhang worked in federal government and the consulting sector, where she successfully led a large team on a nationwide financial institution project and provided training to newly hired auditors on federal law compliance issues.

Luis A C Borbonet serves as the Data Analyst for the Office of Institutional Research, Assessment, and Planning. He received his B.Sc. degree in Physics from University of Havana, Cuba. He completed his Diploma (Physics) and Ph.D. (Physics) studies at ICTP, Italy and University of Sao Paulo, Brazil respectively. He continued a rewarding career in the academic world as a researcher and professor. For the past several years, he has been working with databases in diverse contexts. He has accumulated significant experience in writing SQL queries, data mining, generating reports, and analyzing data from a wide variety of sources. It allows him to support a variety of institutional research functions and to support UDC stakeholders in the planning and strategic decision-making process.

Gashaw Asfaw Mekonnen

Gashaw Mekkonnen serves as the Senior Operational Research Analyst for the Office of Institutional Research, Assessment, and Planning. He received his B.A degree in Sociology and Social Administration  and Masters of Science degree in Demography from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia.  He worked at various capacities for different colleges and universities.  He was a lecturer and researcher in the Demographic Training and Research Center of Addis Ababa University from January 2001 to March 2005; and served as the coordinator of the center for two years.  He served as lecturer of sociology and also registrar at the Defense College of Health Sciences in Ethiopia nearly for 3 years (06/1998 to 12/2000).  He worked for the Jimma Institute of Health Sciences (now named Jimma University) for more than eight years offering various courses and participating in many community based research undertakings. He carried out a number of quantitative and qualitative research projects, provided technical advisory/consultancy and training services to different stakeholders. Recently, He worked as research assistant for the Office of Research and Evaluation at the City Colleges of Chicago.
