Mission

The Residence Life Staff provides information, guidance, direction, and programming to meet your housing needs. The ultimate goal of the Residence Life Staff is to foster an environment that supports each student's academic success and participation in the life of the University.

The Office of Residence Life houses our UDC students in two luxurious DC apartment complexes; the Archstone Van Ness and the Consulate at Avalon Bay. Not only are these properties conveniently located right across the street from UDC, they offer fantastic amenities and services. Below are highlights of what we provide:

  • Our two apartments are located at the Archstone Van Ness and the Consulate, both conveniently located across the street from the main campus and the law school
  • 2 bedroom apartments housing 4-5 students (two or three students per bedroom)
  • Twin bed, dresser, desk, chair, and lamp provided
  • Full kitchen and bathroom (the Consulate has two bedrooms and two bathrooms)
  • Patio or Balcony
  • Access to the 24 hour gym
  • WIFI and cable

The rate for the 2014-2015 academic year is $8400 (price subject to a percentage increase prior to the start of fall semester)

Move in for Fall is August 22, 2014.

Applications can be found on the Housing website, www.udc.edu/housing or in the Housing Office located in building 38, room A-12. A $150 non-refundable deposit is due when applications are turned in. The payment can be made at the cashiers office on the second floor of building 39 and the original receipt should be attached to the application. Those who are not local can mail in the application with a money order, cashier’s check, or certified check (no personal checks) to the Residence Life Office at the address below.

Spaces are limited. To ensure your space, turn in your application and deposit ASAP. Once the application and deposit are received you will receive notification of your acceptance.
