The UDC community joined together on Saturday, June 24 to honor “The Grandfather of Black Basketball” UDC alumnus Dr. E.B. Henderson with the unveiling of a statue in his honor.

The UDC Counseling and Wellness Center and the People Animals Love organization gave students access to a “furry friend” and other resources to help relieve exam stress during finals at the “Paws for a Study Break” event on Thursday, April 27 at the Van Ness Campus.

UDC, the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, the Navy Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division and the National Reconnaissance Office hosted a one-of-a-kind free event for college students who seek to learn more about career opportunities from STEM leaders in the National Capital Region. The career fair took place on Saturday, April 15 at the Van Ness Campus, and multiple government agencies exhibited at the event.

On Monday, March 20, students attended the Washington Wizards Campus Ambassador Program at the Van Ness Campus. Attendees learned everything from marketing and events planning to global partnerships from Wizards professionals. Junior digital media student, Brian Simpkins, moderated the event.
