Bessie Stockard, professor of Health Science at UDC, with tennis legend Billie Jean King at the Women’s Final Four during March Madness on March 31 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. The two played on the Virginia Slims tour together in the 1970s. Professor Stockard was the first Black assistant for @usabasketball.
