Mathilde Knight

Dr. Mathilde Knight, associate professor of Biology in the Division of Sciences and Mathematics, was a guest speaker in the Roundtable 10 of the 16th International Symposium on Schistosomiasis. The Symposium was held at the Centro de Artes e Convenções, Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, Brazil, from November 21-23, 2022. Dr. Knight and other experts provided a unique opportunity for experts worldwide to learn, share and present the latest findings and insights regarding many aspects of schistosomiasis. This Symposium, the main scientific event dedicated explicitly to schistosomiasis, is carried out by the group of researchers in schistosomiasis at FIOCRUZ and aims to bring together the actors involved in the generation of knowledge, products, public policies and health managers to join efforts and accelerate the process of schistosomiasis elimination as a public health problem.
