Representatives from the University of the District of Columbia attended a constituent coffee that Senators Durbin and Burris hosted.

Washington, DC - On September 30th, representatives from the University of the District of Columbia attended a constituent coffee that Senators Durbin and Burris hosted in the Hart Senate Building.  UDC President Allen Sessoms advocated for the inclusion of $10M in the Senate’s Appropriations Bill.  Senator Durbin was aware of the request and spoke about DC’s unique situation in Congress because the District has no voting Member of Congress and no Senators.
