UDC kicks off new image initiative on the web

New site optimizes users' experience with more appealing graphics and richer content

Washington, DC --Today The University of the District of Columbia System unveiled the first in a series of updates to the its main web site.

The new look and feel for the front page is part of UDC’s on-going campaign to improve services to the community, making information easier to find and access.

Now that the front page is up and running, updates will be made to other key areas of the web site, upgrading the appearance and functionality of the most popular sections first and working through the rest of the site. This will be an ongoing process until all important content has been updated.

The UDC System’s presence on the internet coincides with several other activities designed to position the university as a world class institution of higher learning. These activities include: A ‘rebranding’ of the university’s logos and public face, strong promotional programs to highlight the university’s new community college, world class mortuary science program and nationally renowned law school.

“We look forward to bringing our image in line with the excellent educational opportunities that UDC provides to the community of DC and the world,” said UDC System President Dr. Allen L. Sessoms. “The new UDC is an institution that is poised to seize the opportunities of the 21st century and beyond.”
