LABORATORY TOUR AND HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES aT CAM-STAR: FALL-2019

CAM-STAR team organizes a Space STEM Outreach Program for local high schools and minority-serving colleges. The STEM teachers and their students from the Maryland-District of Columbia-Virginia (MD-DC-Va) region are invited to visit the UDC campus and exposed to CAM-STAR and other NASA-related programs through research showcase and hands-on activities.

The UDC rover club hosted its first activity with NSBE and SWE clubs: “NASA Watch Party: Space & STEM where do you fit in?” Over 20 students attended this event which included visitors from Germany and McKinley Technology High School. Panelist of different age groups shared their experience and visions with the students through online media.

McKinley Tech trip to UDC SEAS

The high school students from McKinley Tech HS and DCPS STEM teachers were invited at UDC campus. The high school students were given hands-on activities on Nanotechnology, 3D printing & demonstration of the rover at UDC CAM-STAR.
