FALL 2019

NASA-funded CAM-STAR aims to increase the awareness and broaden participation in space technology and applied research. To achieve this CAM-STAR encourages the UDC students to participate in projects and competition focuses on space technology.

UDC Firebird Rover Club: Officially charteredUDC Firebird Rover Club: Officially chartered

The first UDC Firebird Rover Club has been officially chartered. UDC students have participated during the fall 2019 semester as part of the activities supported through CAM-STAR. This is the 3rd year that UDC team will design and build a new rover to compete in 2020 NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge.

 

 

 

 

Public day visit to 2019 International Astronautical Congress

Ten UDC undergraduate students were sponsored to attend the 2019 International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Washington Convention Center which offered over 180 technical sessions and over 1900 oral presentations. As one of the largest International Conference hosted by AIAA, the panelists included Head Administrator from NASA, International Astronautical Federation (IAF), Vice president from Lockheed Martin, and 6 astronauts, just to name a few.
